3 Progress Killers that Sabotage Your Success & Productivity

Share:

Have you ever aimed to have that rockstar biz week? You planned to cross off all your goals… The weekend arrives and you find yourself standing directly in the same spot you were in at the start of the week? I’ve been there in the past. Running around with mommy duty, adding products, communicating with my team and more… At the end of a busy day, I’m left tired and disappointed as I realize I haven’t completed much of anything.

The REAL key to successfully finishing tasks is in the word I mentioned above: COMPLETION
I had lightly dusted many things on my list, but not completing any of them left me feeling burned out and defeated. Is this you?

It’s nothing more frustrating than feeling unaccomplished. Many times we sabotage our own success by becoming distracted with one or more of the 3 Progress Killers. I’m sure there are plenty of things out there that could possibly sabotage our success. Today, I’d like to share with you three success killers that I’ve personally struggled with and have seen others struggle with as well. SO, without delay, here are the 3 progress killers that just may be sabotaging your success and productivity:

1.Multitasking – Many of us believe that multitasking is a gift from heaven, especially women. We think that because we can do a million things at once that this makes us great. I’ve found the opposite to be true. I encourage you to try focusing on one task at a time and watch your business soar! Trying to accomplish too much at once can result in accomplishing nothing at all. Take it from me, it doesn’t work. I’ve had to slow myself down and realize that until a task is “complete”, it’s simply not done.

2. Social Media – This is huge. Social media can be a great tool for business growth but can be a major time-sucker. Want to sabotage your goals for the week? Spend your time keeping up with notifications and trying to engage on every post. This is a great way to kill your progress. Try dedicating undisturbed hours of the day to being completely present with what you are currently doing in REAL life. Learning to control your social media activity can increase focus on the task at hand and create speed.

3. Busy Work – Are you busy with activities that aren’t necessarily producing income or results? Try eliminating those tasks that are are ONLY keeping you busy, but aren’t propelling your business forward.

So there it is… My short list of progress killers. I hope this has helped you to eliminate or gain more control over some of the distractions that can sabotage productivity. Remember, you can only become distracted if you allow these things to get in your way. You’ve got the power.

Let’s get this cash!

Question: Have you struggled with any one of these in particular? If not, what distracts you most or gets in your way of achieving weekly goals? Please share in comments below. I’d love to hear from you.
